About the Programme

Buddies for Life - Empowering Youngsters’ Interests is a mentorship programme that will be held from December 2020 to March 2021, targeting Secondary 3/Grade 9 to Secondary 6/Grade 12 students from schools all over Hong Kong.

Buddies for Life aims to celebrate versatility and diversity in today's Hong Kong students, to encourage exploration beyond the school curriculum and to unleash youngsters’ potential through peer guidance mentorship. The programme will be framed under 4 themes: Debate and Language, Arts and Music, Creative Media and Academic Interests, and mentors will be OSArs who are in university or are pursuing at least one of the aforementioned themes professionally. Through pairing up 4-6 mentees with 1 mentor, mentees will be able to receive guidance from them and other mentees in their group.

More details will be announced concerning the activities during the mentorship programme!

In light of the uncertainties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the majority of mentorship will be conducted online via ZOOM and WhatsApp. We do not restrict face-to-face gatherings within respective mentorship groups given that they are in accordance with the government’s social distancing measures. Mentors are well informed of the risks in carrying out face-to-face mentoring. The safety of participants has always been and will continue to be our highest priority. We endeavour to guarantee the learning outcomes and safeguard their health at the same time during our events.
